PMI has on
many occasions attended international gatherings,
including Asia Pacific Regional meeting, General
Assembly and International Conference. PMI Chairman
is also a member of "Working Group on Emblem" of
Standing Commission. The individual capacity of PMI
members gains a growing appreciation in international
working agenda, including membership on the Asian
Regional Taskforce for HIV/AIDS and Delegation on
Disaster in the regional representatives of the Federations
In Bangkok.
In the International Red Cross campaign on organization
development, PMI hosted the "Participating National
Society" meeting in Jakarta, 2002 that was organized
by the International societies and attended by 18
delegates of donors federation. The meeting discussed
allocation of contribution to national federations,
including PMI. PMI has so far participated in the
support campaign of other National Federations, including
those given to the Iraqi Red Crescent through the
ICRC to assist victims of present Iraqi conflict.
Furthermore, PMI has built partnership with government
and a large variety of companies, NGOs, media, and
world bodies, including Indonesian Department of
Health, SCTV, RCTI, Philip Morris, IBM, Indonesian
Armed Forces, Pertamina, BP Migas, Microsoft, USAID,
UNDP, UNHCR, WFP, UNAIDS, WHO and Global Fund. The
cooperation is on emergency relief, capacity development,
PMI regular activities and promotions. |
